Ungdommens Røde Kors is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer (iOS) to join their growing engineering team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining their iOS mobile application, ensuring a seamless and engaging learning experience for millions of students.
You will work on cutting-edge features, optimize performance, and contribute to the overall architectural direction of their mobile platform.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift and UIKit/SwiftUI.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, identifying and implementing solutions to improve application stability and performance.
- Contribute to the architectural design and technical roadmap of the mobile platform.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest iOS technologies, trends, and best practices, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in iOS application development.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and extensive experience with iOS frameworks (e.g., UIKit, SwiftUI, Core Data, Core Animation, Networking).
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and software development principles.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and mobile security best practices.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter) is a plus.
- Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience working in an educational technology (EdTech) or similar consumer-facing product environment.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal iOS projects.
